PAVILION (BARTENDER/BEER POURER)

Giggles’ Campfire Grill is a highly successful Minnesota State Fair food and beverage vendor.  Giggles’ Campfire Grill operates the 12 days of the Fair and employs over 200 staff working in a variety of functions. Over 10,000 units of food are prepared and served daily during the fair.

The bartenders are responsible for taking, processing and serving the customers’ beer and wine orders and collecting the payment. The beer pourers are responsible for pouring beer and providing wine and non-alcoholic products to the bartenders and cashiers in a quick, efficient and cost-effective manner. The bartenders and beer pourers play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and ultimate success of Giggles Campfire Grill.


Responsibilities  

  • Ensure that the best quality beverage products possible are served.

  • Know in detail the beer and wine menu and be able to explain the products to the customers

  • Have current “AWARE” certification

  • Ensure that all customers ordering alcoholic products are at least 21 years of age (card all customers that appear younger than 35 years old)

    • Do not serve customers that appear over served or intoxicated

  • Be able to advise customers on the best choices and answer their questions

  • Ensure that the orders served to the customers are prepared and presented correctly and in an attractive manner

  • Be organized and set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies and products

  • Be customer focused to provide superior customer services and ensure absolute customer satisfaction

  • Monitor compliance with health department requirements; ensure compliance with all safety rules and regulations

  • Control costs and minimize waste

  • Work within their identified work station

  • Advise higher level management with issues outside their area of responsibility

  • Provide support with monitoring product use and inventory management

  • Ensure the work station is kept clean and organized and is clean and stocked for the following shift

Requirements 

  • Must be 18 years of age

  • Proven working experience as a bar tender at a high-volume bar or restaurant with alcohol or similar type food service business

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly and accurately take and serve orders, process payments and make correct change while under pressure

  • Ability and availability to work long and intense shifts
